![]() ![]() This worked fore me, also you can try uninstalling the Halo Spartan games and then reinstalling them.Microsoft placed a great deal of hope on Halo when it first broke into the console business, and now it’s attempting to leverage the reputation Halo built with a new entry on Windows RT, Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 devices. You migt need to do 2 things reinstall your xbox 360 controller drivers and then make sure it plugged into the USB slot on your computer and restart the computer with the controller plugged in. First the game seemed to work fine, although I couldn't use the right analog stick on my XBox360 controller, But then, the next starts the game tries to start and after a black screen I get the message "Halo Spartan Assault stopped working". ![]() Originally posted by Thoscho:I know this is an old thread, but I bought the two Halo Spartan games during this year's Steam Summer Sale and stumbled across the same problem. It seems the keyboard and mouse controls are not that bad, although there is room for improvement. So in short, after I disconnected the controller completely the game works fine. So I follwed the suggestion to connect my controller directly to the mainboard on the back to solve it and then the game stopped working at all. I read that this seems to be a bug with either Steam and/or the controller and when games use the rumble feature, the controller can get disconnected automatically, which also happened to me. First it was connected to my frontpanel USB hub, but like I wrote above, the right analog stick didn't work. The only that worked for me was disconnecting my XBox360 controller. The only thing that may could work seems to be starting the game in windowed mode, but I haven't tried that, since I don't like playing games in windowed mode. So no compatibility mode, driver updates, disabling steam overlay, etc. I looked up a bunch of threads, discussions and it looks like nothing really helps. ![]() I know this is an old thread, but I bought the two Halo Spartan games during this year's Steam Summer Sale and stumbled across the same problem. ![]()
